The Design Philosophy

When your room needs a little illumination, a floor lamp is often the easiest solution. This one showcases a tripod design with three tapered legs and electrical cables cleverly concealed in a wooden leg, topped with a drum shade in poplin hand screen-printed with a “Monstera Deliciosa” leaf.

Simple yet captivating, this indoor floor lamp has a striking presence. The tripod legs are handcrafted from seasoned timber salvaged from antique beams aged 80 to 200 years old, providing unyielding stability and rich grain character. Operated via a convenient floor foot switch, it is ideal for lounge seating, study nooks, or salon corners.

Founded in Auroville • Guided by Tradition

Hi, I’m Srinivasan from Auroville, and I’m the founder of Jielde Elegance. I completed my schooling at Auroville, followed by my UG and PG at Pondicherry University. After my studies, I spent two years working alongside skilled craftsmen in Auroville, where I learned the importance of traditional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality finishing.

Our welders bring over 18 years of experience, and many craftsmen working with us have 10+ years of dedicated expertise. Every lampshade and luminaire is fully customizable — from shape, size, colour, material, and design to the overall finish.
